In Late June Of Each Year, The Annual Forthcoming League Fixture Lists Are Drawn By The Scottish Professional Football League And Given Notice To The Participating Scottish Clubs Throughout The Professional League Structure.

Following On From The Aforementioned Fixture List Draw, The Annual Publication Of The Wee Red Book Is Normally Released In Late June Prior To The Domestic Footballing Fixtures Commencing In  August. The Publication Window Is Challenging To Say The Least Yet Always Attained In Time.

The Wee Red Book Annual Football Fixture Publication Has Been In Circulation Since 1928 And Widely Regarded As The ' Must Have ' Mini Encyclopedia Of Scottish League Fixtures, World & European Competitions , Scores, League Tables Etc Amongst Soccer FansIt's Pocket Size Makes It All The More Appealing.

The 2019-2020 Season Was Of Paramount Importance To Celtic Fans As Their Team Were Attempting To Win It's Second ' 9 League Titles In a Row ' In Their History Thereby Aiming To Set Yet Another Record Within Scottish Football.

For Reasons Meantime Unknown, An Unusual Delay Arose Between The Fixtures Confirmed And Publication Of The Wee Red Book. This Shortened The Already Tight Schedule Farther With Financial Implications To Follow.

When The Book Was Eventually Published, (Possibly In Haste) And Distributed To The Retail Outlets On 5th July 2019 It Was Then Discovered The Publication Contained Noteworthy Printing Flaws Which Necessitated All Publications Recalled Back to The Publishers For Disposal. The End Result Being The Revised Publication Was Only Made Available For Sale In Exceptionally Limited Numbers Reaching The General Public.

On Sunday the 8th December 2019 Celtic Beat Sevco Rangers 1-0 In The Betfred League Cup Final At Hampden Park, Glasgow To Clinch Their 10th Domestic Trophy In A Row. In Truth Celtic Were Second Best That Day Yet Overcame The Odds To Retain The Trophy.

Celtic And Sevco Rangers Were Neck And Neck In The League Race Up To The Winter Break Which Occurred In The First Fortnight Of January 2020. Celtic Sat Top Of The Table By Two Points Whilst Sevco Rangers Had A Game In Hand. Goal Difference Was Basically Like For Like.

On Returning To League Fixtures From Their Respective Winter Break, Sevco Rangers Title Challenge Completely Disintegrated. They Were Beaten By Bottom Of The League Teams, Undeservedly Drawing Games And Scrapping The Odd Win By Solitary Goal Margins At Home.

To Compound Their Abject Misery During The Title Run In, Steven Gerrards Expensive Signings Also Capitulated Away To Hearts At Tynecastle On 29th February 2020 During Their Scottish Cup Quarter Final Match. Hearts Were Firmly Seated At The Bottom Of The League Table And Would Later Be Relegated Yet Played Sevco Rangers Off The Park.. The Edmiston Drive Club Effectively Surrendered Their Last Realistic Chance Of Winning Their First Major Domestic Trophy During Their 8 Year Existence.

On the 12th March 2020 The New Club Playing From Ibrox Were Thrashed 1 v 3 At Home To Leverkusen In Their 1st Leg UEFA Europa League Knock Out Game With The Return Leg Presently In Limbo At Time Of This Blog Submission.

Celtic On The Other Hand Were Sweeping Aside All Domestic Challenges Placed Before Them.

Having Played 10 Games In A 7 Week / 3 Day Period, Celtic Surged Into An Unassailable 13 Point Lead And Colossal 25 Goal Difference Advantage In The League Over Their Pretenders With Only 8 Games Left To Play, Including Two Matches Against The Govan Club ( Who Had Nine Games Left To Play ).

During The 2019-2020 Season A Truly Unique Event Affected Not Only Football But Impacted The Entire World.

Then The World-Wide Coronavirus or Covid-19 Struck Forcing The World Into Lockdown. All Football Games Were Postponed Indefinitely. Following Months Of Delays On Finishing The Season Off, Including The William Hill Scottish Cup Semi Finals Which Saw Celtic Drawn Against Aberdeen With Hibernian Drawn Against Their City Neighbours Hearts.

The Scottish Professional Football League Board Members Held A Special Board Meeting At Hampden Park, Glasgow On Monday 18th May 2020 And Concluded It Would Be Realistically Impossible For Celtic To Play Out Their Remaining 8 League And Possible Two Scottish Cup Fixtures Within The Time Frame Demanded By UEFA.

The General Consensus Being It Would Prove Difficult To Play The Matches Even Behind Closed Doors. The SPFL Board Members Proclaimed Celtic As Champions For Their Ninth League Title In a Row Whilst Relegating Heart Of Midlothian. Decision Had Already Been Agreed That The Scottish Cup Semis And Final Ties Would Be Concluded Some Time In The 2020-2021 Season Calendar

Sevco Rangers Publicly Contested The Decision (Questioning Sporting Integrity), Whilst Forgetting Their Original Club Glasgow Rangers, Proudly Lay Claim To Being Crowned Scottish League Champions In Season 1939-1940. They'd  Played 5 Matches Out Of 38 - Against All The Bottom Of The Table Clubs And Sat Top Of The Table By A Single Point Over Falkirk. World War 2 Intervened And Claimed Millions Of Lives.

In Comparison To Glasgow Rangers Fixtures,  Celtics 5 Matches Played That Season Comprised Of 2 Against 3rd Placed Aberdeen And One Against 5th Placed Hearts. Glasgow Rangers Proudly Added That 5 Match League Title Win To Their Clubs Silverware Record Without The Rhetoric Of Sporting Integrity Being Called Into Question.

This Exceptionally Rare Football Annual Signifies An Incredible Season In Celtics History And Will Prove To Be A Highly Sought After Item By Collectors In Years To Come..
