Congratulations to Brendan Rodgers and the team for clinching their 119th  trophy by winning the Premier Sports Scottish League Cup Final against Sevco at Hampden Park, Glasgow last night.

Celtic were admittedly poor, especially in the first half when they deserved to trail by a single goal due to a horrendous defensive mistake by Greg Taylor,  fruitless boring back passing and general slow build up play.

The defender made up for his mistake early in the second half when his shot was deflected into the Sevco goal. This started off a five goal feast culminating in a 3-3 draw in regulation time. The match was devoid of goals in extra time.. Celtic won 5-4 on the lottery penalty shootout. The team were far from their best yet still pulled it off. Anything can happen in Cup Finals so I'm delighted with the victory.

Celtic FC now proudly boast of being the most successful football club in terms of trophy wins in Scotland, the United Kingdom and Europe. Their 119 silverware haul will hopefully be added to at some point of this 2024-2025 season.

Trophy Haul To Date :-

Scottish League Championship - 54

Scottish Cup - 42

Scottish League Cup - 22

European Cup / Champions League - 1

Apologies in advance to all my non-USA-based customers who may face the possibility of outrageous trade tariffs across the globe. These price increases are plainly beyond my control. Any subsequent rises to my goods courtesy of trade tariffs are attributable to one country - USA

The Americans were promised worldwide chaos would ensue were they to elect a six-time bankrupt fascist neanderthal for their 47th president. On 5th November 2024 Americans got their wish and the doomsday clock neared the 12 hour mark . The rest as they say is history.

It can now be argued the USA will slide from being world trade leaders into a self-imposed recession. They knowingly voted for losing millions of jobs alongside inflation-busting tariffs on nigh on everything they buy.
Now it's forecast the majority of homeowners across the globe, including the USA, will pay higher mortgage rates thanks to our enemy - America. Their electoral citizens disregarded the impact on the world order, never minding their own ramifications for electing comrade Trump as their leader. Time will tell how many lives will be lost in the future, both directly and indirectly at the feet of the American voter.
Americans can never be trusted on the world stage again. They instantly turned all their trading partners into foes but the USA public voted for their autocratic, criminal leader in the millions - we can never forget.

Congratulations to Celtic Football Club on winning their 55th league title by thrashing Dundee United 5-0 at Tannadice this afternoon.

The team cruised to the title from their first league match and now extend their record-breaking trophy haul to an incredible 120 since their birth in 1888.

55 League Titles

42 Scottish Cups

22 Scottish League Cups

1 European Cup / Champions League

Much has been written in the press / social media about how boring it is for Celtic to win trebles every season.

I speak for myself in declaring I'll die a happy man knowing my beloved club are superior in everything we do.

The financial gulf between ourselves and all the other domestic clubs combined increases with every match, season after season.

It's down to hard work and wise investment so long may it continue.

The following is a break down of our record breaking history courtesy of Wikipedia

Rodgers, O'Neill & Nancy

4 Dec 2025 11:59

My dream came true when Brendan Rodgers resigned from the Celtic managers post on 27th October 2025. The majority share holder Dermot Desmond accused him of being " divisive, misleading and self-serving ". The style of football was probably the worst I've endured since the John Barnes / Kenny Dalglish era. I stated at the time of Rodgers second appointment as Celtic manager that I disagreed with the Boards decision.

Season 2025-2026 - trailing Hearts by 8 points in the league after just 9 matches played was truly shocking. Celtic couldn't buy a goal and trailed the league leaders by an 11 goal difference. Some accused Rodgers of intentional sabotage and working his way out of the club.

He wasted £30 million ( including wages ) on three sub-standard players namely Arne Engels, Auston Trusty and Adam Idah. Rodgers  deemed all three players unsuitable options over both legs in our Champions League qualifier against Kiarat Almaty ( seeded 315th in the competition ) - which we lost via the penalty shoot out. Brendan Rodgers cost our club a total of £70 million between transfers / wages and would be Champions League earnings.

That was dire enough but the manager had the audacity to publicly criticise the clubs transfer policies by comparing it to being handed the keys of a Honda Civic and expected to race against a Ferrari. He took no accountability in losing £70 million. We don't play in the English Premier League where all clubs treat money like confetti and face bankruptcy were Sky to pull out of their viewing contract. Celtic receive less than £5 million for winning the Scottish Professional Football League. Rodgers blew £70 million in one season. Think about the financial ramifications to this institute caused directly by Rodgers. No wonder the Board couldn't trust him with any more transfer money.

He also bought several other players then refused to play them. A case in point is Hayato Inamura, whose undoubtedly a capable and versatile Japanese left back / centre back. The player was afforded one faultless league game appearance, played superbly then never seen again. This was despite the fact Carter Vickers is probably out for the entire season with his serious ankle injury. Inamura clearly has the makings of a first class defender but Rodgers inexplicably wasted even more money on the squad.

Step forward the 73 year old Celtic legend Martin O'Neill. He subsequently took interim charge of 7 matches in a 37 day period. He won 6 of those matches including an away win against Feyenoord in the Europa League. He somehow managed to claw back the 8 point deficit to being equal league leaders with Hearts on 32 points with a game in hand plus reduced the goal difference down from 11 to 3.

One of his six match wins included the 2nd November 2025 game against Sevco in the Scottish League Cup Semi Final by beating them 3-1 after extra time. He secured our Cup Final place against St. Mirren on 14th December 2025. Last nights 1-0 league victory over Dundee was his swan song.

Step forward Wilfried Nancy who today officially becomes Celtics latest permanent manager. If the Frenchman can replicate Martin O'Neills success then he's guaranteed to be loved by both the fans and board of directors. It will interesting to see how his differing 3-4-3 formation affects our overall attacking playing style. I wish him all the best in his new role. Welcome to the gold fish bowl of Glasgow where every word Nancy mutters is recorded and dissected.

This is much more than just another football club. For thousands of fans it's literally their sole reason for living. It's the main purpose they work all week simply to follow the team home and away. It's more than a religion it's the reason they breath. It's in our blood. Heres hoping Nancy has the shoulders to carry such a heavy burden of weight as our  expectations are monumental.  Celtic have 8 million fans registered world-wide. Another Ange Postecoglou would be perfect.

Less than two weeks ago I welcomed our new manager to Celtic F.C.

Our club is the most successful in Scotland and richer than all the other clubs combined. Our players wages are the highest in our country and attract a massive following across the globe. I stood by the Board Of Directors over the Brendan Rodgers escapade and trusted their judgement on appointing Wilfried Nancy as the next Celtic manager.

Like the majority of Celtic fans this side of the Atlantic, I admit to knowing absolutely nothing about the man yet wholeheartedly wished him all the best on his appointment to the Celtic family. Within 11 days of taking charge of our club his 3-5-2 formation resulted in scoring 3  whilst conceding 10 in four defining matches of our season.

When Martin O'Neill took charge of his 37 day reign prior to Nancys appointment, Martin managed to claw back the 8 point deficit to Hearts in the league, secured a 3-1 win over Feyenoord in the Europa League, won all his league matches and registered a 3-1 William Hill Scottish League Cup Semi Final win over Sevco, Scotlands youngest club.

On 7th December 2025 Nancy found himself in charge of a top of the table clash against Hearts who were by now showing signs of their title challenge collapsing. Instead of continuing our 4-4-2 winning formula  Nancy announced he was altering our shape with a new 3-5-2 set up which was completely alien to the squad. Given the importance of the match everyone thought Nancy had either lost the plot or extremely naive. Hearts to their credit defended well and ran out worthy 2-1 winners. The fans seriously questioned Nancys tactics. He genuinely looked like a fish out of water at the side of the pitch. Nor did his credibility heighten when he suddenly produced a red, white and blue coloured hand held tactics board, shouted over the captain, explained all the possible formations to our captain within 2 or 3 seconds, but  completely unaware the Hearts manager Derek McInnes was looking over Nancys shoulder and within close hearing distance to Nancys instructions to McGregor. It was a horror show and now trailed Hearts again in the league.

On 11th December 2025, Nancy was in charge of our must win Europa League match again at home, against AS Roma. He declared the team would maintain playing with his 3-5-2 format whereby we trailed 3-0 before half time. The second half was merely a training session for the Italians. Now it looks unlikely we'll continue playing European football past Christmas and lose a fortune on income.

On 14th December 2025 Nancy led the team out at Hampden Park, Glasgow for the William Hill Scottish League Cup Final against St. Mirren who were sitting 9th in our league table. Martin O'Neills side already beat the same opponents on their own turf 3 weeks beforehand so most fans quietly expected to lift the trophy.

When the teams were announced over the PA system, it immediately became evident to all n sundry that Nancy was still sticking to his guaranteed defeat 3-5-2 format. St. Mirren, a side low in confidence and fighting relegation in the league, convincingly trashed Celtic 3-1 to remove the trophy from the Celtic Park trophy room.

On 17th December 2025 Nancy took the side to Dundee to play Dundee United in our must win league match to keep some form of pressure on Hearts. Nancy utilised his beloved 3-5-2 format whereby Celtic were simply dreadful losing 2-1 to our hosts. At the final whistle, Wilfried Nancy became the first ever manager during our clubs illustrious 137 year history to record four straight defeats in their opening matches during an 11 day season defining period.

I never thought it possible but the football being produced is arguably worse than a Brendan Rodgers side. It's the same group of players Martin O'Neill utilised to win 6 out of 7 games only losing 3-1 away to Midtjylland who are joint top of the Europa League table.

Whoever on the Board Of Directors were responsible for appointing Nancy as the Celtic manager must surely take accountability of their own position within the club and resign.
