Congratulations to Celtic F.C. for achieving the impossible yesterday ( 25th May 2019 ) - a treble treble of domestic trophies during a season of never ending turmoil on and off the pitch.

It was a season filled with player long term injuries and personal issues. We lost two of our immortal Lisbon Lions within one week of one another namely Club Captain Billy McNeill who passed away on 22nd April 2019 whilst the European Cup winning goal scorer Stevie Chalmers passed on 29 April 2019.

In February 2019 Brendan Rodgers deserted the Celtic ship at a crucial time of the season by chasing the money to become manager of Leicester City F.C. in the English Premier League. Peter Lawwell called upon Neil Lennon to takeover the reins as caretaker manager in our time of need. Neil successfully steered us through troubled waters to capture our 8 In A Row Ladbrokes SPFL League title and William Hill Scottish Cup.

Celtic lost one irrelevant league match during Lennons temporary appointment. That occurred AFTER Celtic were crowned league champions and whilst resting players in the lead up to  the Scottish Cup Final against Heart Of Midlothian.

The triple treble group of players will be immortalised for their amazing feat which incidentally occurred on the same anniversary date of winning the big cup some 52 years earlier.
